Warranty Policy

At Ploutone, we're committed to providing high-quality gear that stands the test of time. To demonstrate our confidence in our products, we offer warranties on nearly all items we sell. Whether you're purchasing budget-friendly gear or boutique instruments, we want you to have peace of mind knowing that your investment is protected.

 

Warranty Coverage

  • Pedals: All pedals come with a minimum 1-year warranty, either provided by the manufacturer or by Ploutone.
  • Hardware: Hardware components typically have a warranty of at least 1 year, but the specific duration may vary depending on the brand and product.
  • Audio Equipment: Most audio equipment comes with a minimum 1-year warranty, although some brands offer extended warranties.
  • Guitars: Guitars are generally covered by a warranty of at least 1 year, but the exact duration can vary based on the manufacturer and model.
  • Picks: Our boutique guitar picks are backed by a 1-year warranty that covers manufacturing defects and premature wear.

Items Not Covered

  • Normal Wear and Tear: This includes scratches, dents, or other cosmetic damage that occurs through regular use.
  • Accidental Damage: Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or neglect is not covered.
  • Modifications: Any modifications made to the product that were not authorized by the manufacturer or Ploutone will void the warranty.
  • Consumable Items: Items such as strings, batteries, or other consumables are not covered by the warranty.

Filing a Warranty Claim

  • To file a warranty claim, please contact our customer support team at info@ploutone.com or 401-308-3098.
  • You will need to provide the following information:
    • Order number
    • Product name and model
    • Date of purchase
    • Description of the defect or damage
    • Proof of purchase (e.g., order confirmation, receipt)

Claim Processing

We aim to process warranty claims within 14 business days of receiving all necessary information. However, processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the claim.

Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for shipping the defective item to Ploutone for warranty evaluation. Once the warranty claim is approved, Ploutone will cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replaced item back to the customer.

Replacement or Repairs

The type of resolution for a warranty claim will depend on the nature of the defect or damage and the availability of replacement parts. In some cases, Ploutone may repair the defective item. However, if the item is beyond repair or if replacement parts are not available, Ploutone may provide a replacement product of equal or similar value.

Additional Terms and Conditions

  • Transferability: The warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners.
  • Limitation of Liability: Ploutone shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, or punitive damages arising from any breach of warranty or defect in the product.
  • Governing Law: This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States.
  • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this warranty shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
  • Entire Agreement: This warranty policy constitutes the entire agreement between Ploutone and the customer and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements.
