Roasted Maple Neck and Fingerboard
The neck of the A4 is made of roasted maple with a roasted maple fingerboard for enhanced stability and a bolder sound. The roasting process removes moisture and impurities from the wood, resulting in a golden-brownish look for a more vintage vibe. The neck also has an angled headstock that improves tuning stability and reduces string tension. The neck has 24 frets with abalone dot inlays.
Bartolini MK-1 Pickups and Preamp
The A4 is equipped with Bartolini MK-1 pickups and preamp, which provide superb sound quality and value. The MK-1 pickups deliver plenty of punchy and warm mids along with transparent and brilliant highs for a superbly balanced sound. The MK-1 preamp features 3-band EQ, volume control, active/passive switch, mid frequency switch, and treble boost switch for a wide range of tone combinations and manipulations. The MetalCraft M bridge is a solid, high-mass bridge that enhances resonance and tone transfer. The bridge has a dual string loading system that allows you to load the strings either through the body or from the top to find the best optimal string tension, resulting in enhanced sustain, greater playability and focused sound. The bridge has a string spacing of 19mm (0.750") for the 4-string model.
