Cort Elrick NJS Series 4-String Bass Guitar: A High-End Bass with a Classic Design

The Cort Elrick NJS Series 4-String Bass Guitar is a high-end bass that features a classic design and a superb sound. The NJS Series is a collaboration between Cort and world-renowned luthier Rob Elrick of Elrick Bass Guitars, based on his original e-volution bass. The NJS Series is designed for serious bass players who want a versatile bass with superb playability and sound quality.

Alder Body and Hard Maple Neck

The NJS Series features an alder body that provides a balanced tone with a slight boost on high mid range. The body also has a white high gloss finish that gives a sleek look. The neck is made of 3-piece Maple with a hard Maple fingerboard for enhanced stability and a bolder sound. The neck also has an angled headstock that improves tuning stability and string tension. The neck has 24 frets with zero fret and white pearloid block inlays.

Cort Voiced Tone VBT-ST Pickups and Bartolini Preamp

The NJS Series is equipped with Cort Voiced Tone VBT-ST single coil pickups that deliver a punchy and warm sound with modern clarity, transparency and vintage warmth. The pickups are hum-canceling and have a wide frequency range. The pickups are paired with Bartolini Elrick NJS Special Preamp that features 3-band EQ, volume control, active/passive switch, mid frequency switch, and treble boost switch for a wide range of tone combinations and manipulations.

MetalCraft M4 Bridge and Hipshot Ultralite Tuners

The NJS Series features MetalCraft M4 bridge that enhances resonance and tone transfer. The bridge has a dual string loading system that allows you to load the strings either through the body or from the top to find the best optimal string tension, resulting in enhanced sustain, greater playability and focused sound. The bridge has a string spacing of 18mm (0.708") for the 4-string model. The NJS Series also features Hipshot Ultralite tuners that offer tuning accuracy and stability. The tuners are lightweight and reduce the neck-dive effect.
