How to measure for fit
To ensure a proper fit, verify your pickup dimensions before ordering. Look up the specs for your exact humbuckers or measure directly:
- Bobbins length: total length of each bobbin (do not include mounting tabs/ears). Common inner lengths are 69 mm (≈50 mm spacing) and 71 mm (≈52 mm spacing).
- Depth: distance from the baseplate to the top of the pole pieces or screw heads (choose 15 mm or 19 mm).
- Ring/pickguard clearance: if you use pickup rings or a pickguard, confirm the rout openings will accommodate the covers.
Attachment options
Installation is simple and reversible. We recommend clear glue dots for a secure hold that’s easy to remove. Other options include high‑bond double‑sided tape, a thin bead of neutral‑cure silicone, or pickup wax. Avoid permanent adhesives unless you never plan to remove the covers.
