Unveiling a Treasure Trove of Classic Modulation: Astra Modulation Machine

Universal Audio's Astra Modulation Machine isn't just a pedal; it's a portal to the golden age of analog modulation effects. Their engineers embarked on a deep dive, meticulously recreating the most sought-after sounds of the era. The result? A treasure trove of iconic tones housed within a single, beautifully crafted stompbox.

      Legendary Sounds, Perfectly Captured

      • Bucket-Brigade Chorus/Vibrato: Astra delivers the most complete circuit emulation ever achieved of the legendary gray bucket-brigade chorus pedal, complete with its rich, saturated preamp section. This translates to thick, lush chorus and wavy vibrato textures that defined the sound of the 70s.
      • Studio Flanger/Doubler: Move over, conventional flangers! Astra's Flanger/Doubler effect is the only end-to-end circuit emulation of an ultra-rare studio rackmount unit, capturing all of its original sonic magic. Dense, complex flanging and doubling sounds are now at your feet.
      • Tube-Driven Tremolo: Astra's Trem 65 faithfully emulates the optical tube-driven tremolo found in classic 60s American amplifiers. From subtle shimmers to dramatic chops, UA captured every detail, including the intricate interplay between the light source and the 12AT7 driver tube. And for the adventurous player, variable sine and square wave settings allow for further exploration and creation of unique tremolo textures.

      Unparalleled Sonic Depth

Astra's secret weapon is its powerful UAFX dual-engine processing. This innovative technology runs separate stereo instances of each modulation effect, essentially replicating two bucket-brigade hardware units running simultaneously. The result? A breathtakingly wide stereo spread of complex and awe-inspiring textures that will envelop you in sound.
