Gray pearl occupies a space that not many pickguard finishes claim: cool-toned, genuinely neutral, and modern without being stark. The grey base reads neither warm nor cold in isolation, which makes it unusually adaptable across guitar finishes that other colors might clash with. The pearl laminate adds a faint shimmer beneath the surface, visible at certain angles without announcing itself in the way that brighter pearl finishes do. The three-ply construction adds a bevel stripe at the edge. This finish works particularly well on silver, charcoal, and blue guitar bodies where a warmer cream or white would fight the finish rather than complement it, and it offers a contemporary alternative to the standard black or white options.
Compatibility notice: This pickguard is designed for select Gibson Les Paul Junior Single Cut models using the older pickguard pattern. Gibson changed the body shape and mounting-hole locations over different production periods, so this pickguard does not fit every Les Paul Junior. The supplier has confirmed that it does not fit the 2000 Gibson Les Paul Junior.
