Colorful pearl shell is the most visually active finish in the natural shell range. The surface does not settle on a single dominant tone: green, blue, gold, and teal all appear as the light source and viewing angle shift, sometimes within the same guard depending on how it is lit. The shell grain distributes these color shifts unevenly, meaning each guard has its own arrangement of color zones and iridescent movement. Under stage lighting the effect is pronounced, with the surface responding to every change in the light. Against dark guitar finishes the multicolored iridescence reads with maximum contrast; against lighter tops it becomes one visual element in a richer overall composition.
Compatibility notice: This pickguard is designed for select Gibson Les Paul Junior Single Cut models using the older pickguard pattern. Gibson changed the body shape and mounting-hole locations over different production periods, so this pickguard does not fit every Les Paul Junior. The supplier has confirmed that it does not fit the 2000 Gibson Les Paul Junior.
