White pearl shell is the finish that sits closest to classic mother-of-pearl in character and visual quality. The surface is bright and clean at its base but the shell laminate introduces a shifting iridescence that moves between white, silver, pale blue, and opal as the viewing angle and light source change. The organic shell grain runs through the laminate, producing subtle veins and variations that synthetic pearl finishes cannot replicate. Each guard cuts slightly differently from the shell, so the grain pattern is unique to every piece. Against sunburst and natural guitar tops it catches the warmth of the wood and reflects it back; against darker finishes the brightness of the surface makes the guard a clear focal point.
Compatibility notice: This pickguard is designed for select Gibson Les Paul Junior Single Cut models using the older pickguard pattern. Gibson changed the body shape and mounting-hole locations over different production periods, so this pickguard does not fit every Les Paul Junior. The supplier has confirmed that it does not fit the 2000 Gibson Les Paul Junior.
